We are hosting a team from Pass the Torch, who are packing up toiletry bags to give to people experiencing homelessness. Great to have them with us.

In preparation for our building works, we want to thank Joe Rushmer and his team at Plumbase, Wandsworth. They have sent men and a van to us on two occasions to help move items into storage. They have saved us money, my back, and have been lovely to meet. Well done Plumbase.

We’ve been giving out ice creams and ice lollies to keep out guests cool again. If you see someone sleeping rough and are able to, please offer to buy them a cold drink or water, the heat is as dangerous as the cold.

@LeahSmama7589 It’s miserable. Thankfully everyone got a shower, clean clothes and were well fed and our garden is shady, so there was respite for the day.

Our enterprise journey started 6 years ago. Taking art from our guests, who’ve experienced #homelessness to create beautiful greetings cards. Each card is also a journey, careful brush strokes to create something special. Who is special to you that you can send them to?

Rough sleeping fell by 2% last year, a very small number, but the first fall since 2010, apart from Covid. We still need to do so much more, but welcome that it hasn’t risen, by 20%, as we saw for so many years.

Thank you to the kind people who donated money for us to buy ice creams for our guests. Keeping them cool in the stiff heat is important.

A great day with our friends from Winston Taylor, yesterday, we took part in their Social Impact day. We talked about our work, @homelessmade & @67Blankets Participants painted their own Rainbow Trees and two single blankets were completed.

We are very grateful for West London Strings raising funds for our work. The concert is free, donations requested. Do go if you can. Sunday 5th July at St Mary’s West Kensington.

Very excited to be our partners, Winston Taylor for a community day. We are teaching their friends from Amazon how to make @67Blankets and also to paint their own tree of life. Knitting communities together.
