Thistlecrack was 25/1 when landing the Sefton Novices' Hurdle at the Grand National meeting in 2015. A year later he again won at the meeting, this time at 2/7! Alpha Des Obeaux was fine after his fall and chased home the winner in the Stayers Hurdle the following season.
