Mini app feature : @hytopia
There’s a Roblox-style gaming platform in Web3 that people are actually spending time on.
Let’s talk about HYTOPIA.
HYTOPIA is a free to play, cross platform gaming platform built around fast, multiplayer mini games. Players can jump straight into battle modes, racing, fishing, hide and seek, tower defense and more with zero complications.
It’s built for quick sessions that are easy to start and easy to enjoy.
Why players are showing up: • 50+ mini-games live, with new ones added weekly • Full cross play across mobile and desktop • One tap invites for instant joins • Smooth performance even on low end devices
This ease of access is turning into real activity.
Why it’s trending on Base:
HYTOPIA has crossed millions of downloads and hundreds of thousands of monthly active players, with some games regularly hitting 100+ concurrent players.
Why builders care:
HYTOPIA lowers the barrier to building games. With AI powered tools and simple editors, even non coders can ship playable experiences quickly.
Recent update:
SDK v0.14.32 is live, adding emoji chat and player reactions to make the in game moments more social and interactive.
HYTOPIA is a strong example of how gaming on Base is evolving. It’s easy to start, fun to play, and simple to build.
Have you played it yet? Drop a clip, screenshot, or your first impression.

When your product’s users are Web2, you aren’t nearly as impacted by market conditions. 😎
Not saying this is it, but who would you bet on during a bear market?

We got the @hytopia game engine un-bottlenecked and tested today.
We can run up to 500 players on a single cpu core in a single game server instance @ 60 tick before performance declines.
Even more potential for headroom beyond that as well still.
Wild times ahead.

I want to start streaming on @baseapp talking absolute nonsense for a couple hours each day

Has this ever been done before?
I don't think so!
Thanks to @Mintify's Newest update I can now use my ETH to purchase memecoins directly off the SOL Network!
These guys just continue to make my life easier with the most seamless User Experience I have ever faced in Web3!

@iamarkdev @AdonisOnX @hytopia Ugh… fine, I’ll make a top 3 experience for your eco when time permits in a month or two post our releases.
It’ll be my way of giving back real respect to a team that decided to stick through and deliver beyond despite the impossible (and because I felt skeptical)🫡

While AAA devs waste millions, HYTOPIA's devs are quietly taking over.
Most people are sleeping on this new voxel game engine.
But some folks woke up last Tuesday:
One 𝕏 post.
500,000+ impressions.
Tens of thousands suddenly realize a new game platform is on the rise.
But here’s the crazy part:
That post didn’t feature a AAA game.
It wasn’t a fancy trailer.
It was a simple game jam submission—built in days—by a single dev.
It looked fun.
It looked fresh.
And most importantly, it looked doable.
This was the first real moment that showed off the power of the HYTOPIA voxel engine.
People saw it and instantly thought: “Wait... I could build something like this.”
It wasn’t just cool. It was accessible.
This wasn’t a one-off.
Since that moment, something's been happening quietly:
Game devs are showing up.
Not just curious. Excited.
They’re joining the Discord.
They’re diving into the SDK.
They're experimenting, prototyping, breaking stuff, and building again.
Devs like Gabe are calling it out: HYTOPIA is doing something special.
And the best part?
It’s all happening organically.
Why is this resonating so hard?
Because HYTOPIA hits a sweet spot the industry forgot:
✅ Voxel-based, so it feels familiar
✅ Multiplayer, out of the box
✅ Built with TypeScript, in the browser—no install hell
✅ Link-shareable games, like websites
✅ Open tools, fast iteration, high ceiling
It's Roblox energy with web-native speed.
It's Minecraft nostalgia with modern dev power.
And once you see a game built on it running smoothly in your browser, with no download, it clicks.
The friction is gone.
The fun is immediate.
And now, the HYTOPIA community is in motion.
Minigames are shipping.
Weird experiments are popping up.
People are riffing off each other’s ideas.
It’s more than just game development—it’s collaborative internet-native worldbuilding.
And the tools are evolving alongside the community.
Every week brings new features, fixes, and better workflows.
What used to take hours now takes minutes.
We're watching a creative ecosystem bootstrap itself in real time.
No one's hit a home run—yet.
The energy is there. The talent is coming. The engine is ready.
All it takes is one breakout game.
One person to hit publish on the right idea at the right time.
And everything changes.
So if you’re reading this wondering “is it too late?”
No.
It’s day zero.
This is the kind of opportunity that disappears fast.
Not because the door closes—
But because soon, everyone else will be in the room.
If you’ve ever wanted to build a multiplayer game.
If you’ve ever wanted to own your own little internet world.
If you’ve ever wanted to be early to something real—
HYTOPIA is your moment.
Level up now.
Before the rest of the world catches on.

AI NPC demo in a @hytopia world next week? 🤔
Been playing with LLMs with our SDK and it’s like the most laughably easy thing in the world to make work.
