Embark Studios executive producer Aleksander Grøndal has shared some interesting ARC Raiders player stats with The Guardian. The playerbase splits fairly evenly, with around 30% sticking to PvE, 30% going pure PvP, and 40% mixing both. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that 95% of players use proximity chat, meaning nearly the entire playerbase has it on.

I love playing ARC Raiders as a PvE only player. My days of pub stomping are long gone. I need a chill, yet serious gaming experience now and this game is the perfect mix. Need to take it seriously enough to keep your eyes and ears open, but casual enough that you can relax and take it all in without too much fear beyond the ruthless tin cans. It doesn't make me "soft" or have a "skill issue" because I enjoy relaxing at the end of a long work day. You don't know me from Adam, but I actually used to be on an MLG Call of Duty team. I can play the fast, run and gun tactics that apparantly 30% of ARC Raiders is. Playing that style was who I was years ago. It's just not who I am anymore. Anyhow, I'm going to go save lives tonight topside, because I get far more enjoyment out of defibbing randoms than knocking them down.

Please stop putting so much of your self-worth into fighting games! I’ve been there, it makes playing excruciatingly stressful! Go do other things, I promise you that playing for one hour with a clear head is far better than tilt queuing and screaming at your monitor for six!

@ThatARCGuy 100%! This is a good start and can only get better as long as we as a community don't throw stones at em(and each other tbh.) I know people will make comparions to other games with their content and releasing times but I think Arc will start to cook more as time goes.

If you can look beyond the "fix this, fix that" commentary that CAN plague the socialshere, ARC Raider's communty outreach and buidling has been stellar in April. The socials (on all platforms) have been active and you can tell, if you're looking, that people enjoy the engagement. 👏 Linking the article I wrote below for context as to why I'm celebrating the above.

With all the new fighting games coming out, people aren't obligated to like every single one. With that being said, please don't join in on the "This game sucks" just because you heard someone else say it. Form your own opinion, don't let people tell you what's dope or not
