Parents, students (and employees), We know there is talk of the potential for winter weather in Middle Tennessee overnight. While the chances are slim for our county to be affected, we are closely monitoring the predictions, and if it becomes necessary to make any schedule changes, we will notify everyone as soon as possible. In the meantime, we always encourage our families to have a "Plan B" in place, just in case. Stay warm!

Stephen Wayne to lead Siegel High School Wayne succeeds Principal Larry Creasy, who is joining RCS instruction department November 7, 2025 By JAMES EVANS Rutherford County Schools Stephen Wayne will be the next principal of Siegel High School beginning January 1, Director of Schools Dr. Jimmy Sullivan said. Wayne currently serves as the principal of Rock Springs Middle School, a position he has held since 2016. Current Siegel Principal Larry Creasy is joining the RCS Instruction Department in January as the new secondary coordinator. “Mr. Wayne has been at Rock Springs for nearly a decade, and the school has seen consistent growth during his tenure,” Director Sullivan said. ”Siegel High has an excellent administration team, and along with Mr. Wayne as principal, I’m excited to see what the school will accomplish.” Wayne is a veteran educator of 19 years and started his career as a teacher at Stewarts Creek Middle School, where he also served as head basketball coach and athletic director. In addition, he served as an assistant principal at Riverdale High School for three years before being named the principal at Rock Springs. “I am grateful to Dr. Sullivan for providing me with the opportunity to become the next principal at Siegel High School,” Wayne said. “In 2003, Siegel High School established a strong student-centered foundation with a focus on academics, athletics, character and community service. We will continue these foundational pillars as we concentrate on student growth and achievement.” Rock Springs Middle has earned multiple accolades under Wayne’s leadership, including earning an “A” overall on the most recent Tennessee Report Card, earning Level 5 distinction multiple times, and was the first middle school in the county to be named a “Common Sense School” for promoting cyber safety. “I want to thank the Rock Springs community for their support during my tenure as principal over the past 10 years, and I am confident RSMS will continue the success we achieved together,” Wayne said. “As I step into this new chapter of my professional journey, I am honored and energized to join the Siegel family. Siegel High is a school built on strong tradition, academic excellence, and a commitment to prepare students for post-secondary opportunities.” Wayne will begin his new duties after winter break. “The official start date is January; however, I begin today fostering new relationships with the faculty, staff, student body and community stakeholders.  Together, Siegel Stars will lead the way.” A search for the next principal of Rock Springs Middle School will begin immediately.
