@asollecito11 Who gives a fuck what you want to see. I have spent over 5 decades of watching mostly shitty baseball. You can go fuck off with you demands. No one gives a shit

When the Mets finally make the playoffs again, the ONLY fans that I want to see celebrating are those who have watched every day this season things will get better eventually. but it’s gonna take a lot of time. David Stearns and Carlos Mendoza have set the franchise back years

Here’s my thoughts on this: Politics don’t belong in the locker room. Doesn’t matter what side you’re on it’s on going to be divisive. I’m a big fan of Abdul Carter. Kid is super talented. I just wish he would have text/called Jaxson Dart about this instead of posting on social media. Teams are always going to stand by their young QB’s. If they look at you as a divisive locker room presence you won’t be long for the organization.

@NikkiNic9384 He is absolutely free to attend whatever political events he chooses on his own free time. Many more athletes support the left than the right. A word is never said about their support and campaigning

The real question is how the hell Giants PR never seems to get ahead of these things. 🤯 Always a day late and a dollar short. Making headlines for all the wrong reasons. You can’t have a player attend any political event and not think about what the fallout might be internally and publicly. This is basic management 🙃

Let’s not do that thing where we’re trying to pretend this isn’t what it looks like. Abdul Carter is a Black man and a Muslim and given the things that Trump has said about/done when it comes to both groups, it’s fair (and also not surprising) that he has a problem with it.
Alex Bruesewitz 🇺🇸@alexbruesewitz

.@JaxsonDart didn’t make any political statement. He simply introduced the President of the United States. You are an idiot.

@JohnCleese John - does the show losing millions of dollars per year not qualify as a factor as to why it was cancelled? How can this be ignored?

@NikkiNic9384 Absurd. It hasn’t impacted Steve Kerr, Steph Curry or LeBron when the have campaigned for Harris, while also speaking very harshly about the President. There is no business side to this. Zero

@BarryMo07 There is a whole business side to this Barry. Which I’ve tried to explain endlessly today. High profile figures just need to be more aware of the things they do and say

Since people can’t read multiple posts I’ll sum up what I said today: 🙄 •Dart and Carter are public figures •Unfortunately given the world we live in both of them need a lot more awareness about how they operate •Giants PR also needs some more awareness •Would have been best to just not do this event at all •Teams like to keep their issues in house & let the locker room police themselves privately •The Giants want to control the narrative so badly they miss the forest for the trees all the time •Everyone is free to express themselves however when you’re in the public eye you are under a microscope & need to keep that in mind •For a team that likes to keep everything “in-house” from a PR & Media perspective they sure do lose control of the narrative a lot. •People don’t seem to understand or want to understand this side of the business •Expressing yourself is not wrong •Your personal beliefs are not wrong •Idk who approved this event or had final say but it’s clear this wasn’t thought all the way through •Good PR advisement would have walked the Giants through all the potential pitfalls of Dart doing this event •JH is a coach that likes to keep everything tight lipped. This whole fiasco is a massive issue •All parties have contributed to this mess •Teams like to minimize distractions and all the Giants do is create more of them by their own doing •Multiple things can be true at the same time •Don’t give the media & the public a reason to create storylines & drama •It doesn’t matter who the player would have been to take it to social media the advisement of having a private conversation would have been the same because that’s how teams operate •I have no idea if the team was spoken to about Dart doing this event but if he wasn’t that’s a problem in & of itself •You can’t be on a team & operate as if you’re the only one •Giants PR asleep at the wheel again Some of us try to give you guys insight as to how things work behind the scenes or why other people might have a different opinion. But please continue to take literally everything I say out of context 🫠

The max one can pay into social security per year is $10,453.20. If you did that every year from age 18 until retirement, the max you’ll get from SS is $4,873 /month. If you put it into an S&P index fund instead, you would receive $32,583 per month. Social Security is a scam.

@MuseBaker There is a difference. Dart did not do anything while working. It was on his personal time. CK was literally working while expressing his politics. I can’t do that at my job and I shouldn’t be allowed to either

When Jaxson Dart is leading the Giants offense to a Week 3 win over Tennessee and Abdul Carter sacks Cam Ward 3 times nobody including them is going to care they had opposing political views that were public in May.

@SonRanto Colbert put himself out of work by changing the format of the show and alienating half the country with his political views. If this show wasn’t hemorrhaging money it would still be in the air

Trump not only put Colbert out of work. He put the crew, the band, the costume and makeup, the security, the writers, the accounting and hr staff, and the lives of everyone who depended on that income to feed their families out of work. Trump is a weak minded, petty, and feeble destroyer.

It was bittersweet, last night at the end of Stephen Colbert’s brilliant run on the Late Show. Looking back on the decades he has given us and on his courageous and inspiring resistance to the corruption and lies of the Trump takeover, I see him as a true patriot. [1/3]
