My parents stopped saying 'life is hard' once I told them I was an #Arsenal fan, and they let me learn that lesson on my own.

@ESPNUK I love the type of rant where you create a hypothetical situation and then assume the person's reaction to it. It really puts things into perspective 😅

🚨🎙️💣 Patrice Evra BLASTS VAR and Referee’s decision to Disallow West Ham United’s Goal:
“I need to say something because my phone is vibrating, everyone is going crazy! Today I don't love the VAR. I don’t love the referees. West Ham were robbed. It’s a total robbery in broad daylight!
How can you disallow this goal? We want the Premier League to be the most physical, the most exciting league in the world, and then we penalize a player for being strong? It’s a contact sport! If you take that goal away, you are killing the soul of the game. West Ham fought like lions, they earned that moment, and the referee just takes his eraser and rubs it out. It’s a shambles.
This is what stays in my throat: the inconsistency. I remember clearly William Saliba against Manchester United. He does the exact same thing same physicality, same use of the body and hands to hold and impede the goal keeper. And what happened? The whistle stayed in the pocket. The goal stood.
And the Arsenal fans? Oh, they were dreaming! They were on social media saying, “Oh, Saliba is a monster, he is so strong, dark art FC this is the art of defending!' They supported it because it suited them. They call it 'top-class defending' when Saliba does it, but when a West Ham player does it against them, they start crying for a foul? No. You cannot have two different rulebooks just because of the name on the back of the jersey.
If the Saliba challenge was 'strong defending' and I agreed it was then this goal for West Ham MUST STAND. You cannot tell me one is a foul and the other is a masterclass.
The VAR officials need to wake up, go home, and drink some water, because they are seeing ghosts. I feel for David Moyes and I feel for those West Ham fans, because they played with heart and they were cheated by a system that doesn't know what a 'foul' is anymore. It's a joke!”
