very important story, esp since, if you look at the Finlete website, it appears that there are a LOT of Latin American players.
from my own reporting in MiLB, a lot of LatAm players send money home to their families because USD is stronger currency. something to note.

After getting just a $10,000 signing bonus from the #Yankees, Carlos Lagrange has received $169,403 through fan investments on Finlete. He's used that money to take care of his family & on his training.
