Productive morning after yesterdays 26-6 win. With harsh weather conditions everyone got a really good stretch in to recover to get ready for Week 2 of the season. Important week ahead of us to set the tone before spring break.

The freshmen that are getting on the field at the D-1 level are. Physical (strong) Polished (have played a lot of baseball and been well coached) Mature (don't need reminders and hand holding) Tireless Workers (while others are partying, they're working) Confident (they know they belong) Unselfish (they understand how to play winning baseball) Etiquette (they know how to carry them self). Energy (they lock in and compete every day).

I see a lot of posts talking about recruiting that insinuate organizations promise players to be recruited or that you have to play travel baseball to be recruited. Being that I have owned a travel organization for 18 years I will assure you that you don’t need to play travel baseball to be recruited. I do think you need to play baseball to get better at baseball. I also think as you start to get better at the game you need to play the game around others better than you or at the least your talent level. If you can do that by staying at home than by all means do that. Being recruited to play baseball in college comes from reaching a certain talent level as a player & has nothing to do with how much you travel to go play the game. I do believe that you need to collect at bats as a hitter vs as elite of arms you can find. I also believe that pitchers need to try to get the best hitters out they can find. Iron sharpens Iron. Not once have we @TheCanesBB ever guaranteed a scholarship to a player. Not once. Do we have a lot of contacts in the college & pro game? Well yes we do. We probably have as much or more than anyone in our space. The truth is in the pudding. When we pick up the phone & call College Coaches or MLB Scouts they answer the phone bc they know we are going to tell the truth. Credibility is real. This space has gotten very watered down! Be careful who you go play for & write a check to. I feel bad for the misinformed I really do.
