If he thinks the South is racist, he probably spent a lot of time in Nashville/Murfreesboro/Memphis. Those places are pretty racist, because they’re the college towns. Lots of liberals there. But if you stay away from the colleges when you visit, you’ll avoid that.

@chick3T To touch on the American south, there's a reason for racial divide here. Mostly because blacks kill and rob whites indiscriminately and southerners are called racists because we dislike them because of their actions. Much the same way that we don't care for Muslims either.
