@Queeneth01olx @Demurleigh Even scripture reminds us, in the Bible, gratitude to others is tied to love; in the Qur’an, whoever is not grateful to people is not truly grateful to God. So this isn’t about applause… it’s about acknowledgment. What you felt was valid. Hard lesson, but an important one.

I spent 4 years paying my younger sister’s school fees. Every single kobo. The day she graduated, she gave the acknowledgement speech and thanked everyone except me. I sat in that hall and felt my soul leave my body 😭. When she got admission, things were tight at home. I had just started my first job. I told our parents, "Don't worry. I’ll handle it." And I did. Every semester. No breaks. There were months I was eating 0-1-0 so her account wouldn't run dry. I never told her. I didn't think I needed to. Graduation day, she looked beautiful. The first graduate in our family. I was prouder of her than I’ve ever been of myself. Then she got the mic. > She thanked God. (Fair). > She thanked our parents. (Expected). > She thanked her friends who kept her sane. > She even thanked her HOD. Then she sat down. My mother looked at me. I smiled and looked away, but the clapping felt like it was happening in a different room. I didn’t say anything that day. Or the week after. But something in how I moved changed. I stopped volunteering. Started waiting to be asked. Started noticing who actually noticed me. People say, "Don’t give to be recognized." I agree to an extent. But there is a thin line between not needing applause and being erased by the person you bled for. That's not humility. That's invisibility. We’re fine now. I brought it up six months later, calmly. She cried, and said she was nervous and blanked. Maybe. Maybe not 🤷 But I learned something either way. Sacrifice without communication creates invisible resentment. Tell people what you are carrying for them. Not to guilt trip them. But because silence makes martyrs, and martyrs make bitter people. This same dynamic shows up in dating every day. You’re playing the provider or the supporter in silence, while your partner thinks you're just an oil money that never runs dry. Stop accepting the bare minimum of gratitude. If they don't see the sacrifice, they won't value the person making it. Has someone ever made you feel invisible in a relationship after everything you did for them? Let’s talk below.👇

Mehdi Hasan didn't interview Daniel Bwala - he cross examined him. Hasan used past words as evidence to interrogate Bwala's contradictions. And because the interview centred on credibility rather than policy, Hasan controlled the narrative and Bwala never regained it.

@omoelerinjare When hair is shaved very low, the natural direction of hair follicles and scalp folds can show up as these lines or swirls that were always there but hidden by hair. Nothing to worry about. 😎

Netflix just KILLED Hollywood... By pulling off the most INSANE power move of 2025. $82.7 billion for Warner Bros, HBO, and HBO Max. The streaming wars are officially over. But nobody understands what actually just happened... For YEARS, Ted Sarandos said: "We're builders, not buyers. We don't need a library." Then three weeks ago he pulled a complete 180. And the bidding war was brutal. Paramount thought they had it locked. David Ellison's dad is Larry Ellison, Oracle founder, one of the richest men alive. Paramount made THREE bids in September. All rejected. Too low. But Ellison kept pushing. He wanted the ENTIRE company including CNN, Discovery Channel, all the cable networks nobody else wanted. His pitch was simple: "We have White House relationships. Regulatory approval will be easy." For weeks, everyone thought Paramount would win. Then Netflix entered the chat... $27.75 per share. Mix of cash and stock. $82.7 billion total. Paramount countered with $30 per share, all cash, backed by three Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds. Higher bid. More cash. Should've won. But Netflix included something nobody saw coming: A $5.8 BILLION breakup fee. If Netflix walks away from this deal, they pay Warner Bros $5.8B. Nobody puts up breakup fees that big. Ever. It's Netflix saying "we're so confident we can fight regulators and win, we'll bet $5.8B on it." Paramount lost their minds. Thursday morning, Paramount's lawyers sent a 4,000-word letter to Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav. The letter accused Warner Bros of rigging the process. Said Zaslav had "personal interests in post-transaction roles." Translation: Zaslav wants a job at Netflix after the deal closes, so he's giving them preferential treatment. They're literally calling it corruption. But Netflix just sat on that $5.8B breakup fee and waited. In the end, Warner Bros picked Netflix. And here's the thing... This isn't about streaming. It's about OWNING the IP before AI makes production costs zero. Warner Bros owns: - Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman (entire DC Universe) - Harry Potter (full franchise rights) - Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, The Wire - Friends, The Big Bang Theory When AI video generation hits in 2-3 years, Netflix bets on "whoever owns the IP wins." They hope to generate infinite Batman movies and Harry Potter spinoffs using AI at near-zero marginal cost. The genius move though: Paramount wanted ALL of Warner Bros Discovery. Including dying cable networks (CNN, TNT, TBS). Netflix said: "We only want the studio and streaming." They're letting Warner Bros spin off the garbage cable channels. Then buying ONLY the profitable parts. Buy the assets. Leave the liabilities. This deal "kills three birds with one stone" according to Bank of America: Bird #1: Warner Bros Discovery ceases to exist as a competitor Bird #2: HBO Max (#3 streaming platform) merges with Netflix (#1) Bird #3: Every other studio is now officially screwed Netflix now has: - World's largest subscriber base (260M+) - Second-largest content library - The IP for infinite AI content - HBO's prestige brand - Warner Bros' theatrical distribution Game over. Anonymous Hollywood producers literally sent letters to Congress BEGGING them to block the deal. They didn't even sign their names. Too scared of Netflix retaliation. Senator Warren called it an "anti-monopoly nightmare." But none of it will matter. Deal's getting approved. What happens next? 2026: Discovery Global spins off (cable networks) 2026: Netflix acquisition closes 2027: HBO integration begins 2028: AI video generation launches 2029: AI-generated Batman and Harry Potter content By 2030, Netflix IS Hollywood. My take? Thid is smart SHORT TERM. Destroys competition. Locks in IP. But LONG TERM? When AI video hits, content libraries won't matter. Speed of generation will. Netflix just spent $82.7B on the past instead of the future. The next 3 years will tell us which one it is.

I survived 10 days without internet. TEN. DAYS. 😩 @ExploreLegend has finally restored service. I have rationed hotspot, binged nothing, & paid more for data than I care to admit. Let’s call a truce, but let’s never do this again. @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria #PostWiFiTrauma

@ExploreLegend @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria I’ve officially lost count. Is it Day 10? 11? Who knows. No internet. No timeline. No real update. @ExploreLegend’s silence is now louder than the outage. Compensation? Promised. Service? Still missing. How long before this becomes a case study in how not to handle downtime?

@Bashir4real @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria Dear Bashir, as previously explained, the ongoing service disruption in your area is due to cable damage caused by road construction. While we understand the frustration, we want to clarify that this is beyond our immediate control, & our team is actively working to resolve it.

Day 4 without internet. @ExploreLegend has mastered the art of copy-paste apologies. No service, no real update, just vibes. @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria how is this acceptable for a paid subscription? We can’t keep normalizing poor service. #FixItLegend

My first time in Los Angeles. To be honest, I didn’t think it was that big a deal. There are too many people faking it and clearly living above their means here. It’s great to be bordered by the Pacific Ocean but I still prefer the east coast. By the way, how una see the shoe?😊

@Bashir4real @ExploreLegend @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria Totally valid point, and I agree that communication matters just as much as the service itself. But to be fair, Legend did inform affected users via email, and they also mentioned compensation for the downtime.

@ExploreLegend @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria “We are working around the clock” means little when it’s Day 8 and there’s still no clear timeline. Others affected by the same construction were back online in 3 days. Your DM came on Day 5 and said nothing new. This isn’t transparency. It’s delay management.

@Real_jaeflex @ExploreLegend @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria Absolutely, we get that fiber cables are physical infrastructure & accidents happen. But what shouldn’t be acceptable is 8 days of vague responses, no clear ETA, & no proactive communication from a service provider we’re still paying. Damage isn’t the issue, how it’s handled is.

@ExploreLegend @Bashir4real @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria A lot of people don’t realize fiber optic cables are physical infrastructure. Road construction, tree cutting, or even digging can easily damage them and that’s not something providers can always prevent in real time.

@mo_afc49 Yes, Eze would improve Arsenal. He carries the ball, beats players, and breaks lines, stuff Arsenal struggle with when the game gets tight. He gives Arsenal something different from Odegaard. Not just tidy, explosive. He’d unlock teams and take pressure off Saka too.

@WelBeast Jesus and Zinchenko helped change Arsenal DNA, belief, bravery, winning culture. They were the right players at the right time. But football evolves. If they leave, it’s with gratitude. Arteta’s vision moves forward. No hard feelings, just higher standards.

@nonewthing Gyokeres isn’t a system dependent gamble, he’s a versatile forward with goals, power, and pressing. He thrives in transitions and breaks down low blocks. You don’t need to build a team around him, he enhances what you already have. He’s not a compromise but a catalyst. Chill.

Gyokeres—a Game Changer? The Final Part. Everyone knows Gyokeres thrives more with balls into space, more transitions etc The question is, without an Eze or Madueke to help generate those transition chaos moment, would he be worth it as a stand-alone acquisition like Haaland? No—and his price reflects that answer. This is exactly the issue I have with signing him. I don't like compromises. I don't like having to shift wholesale dynamics for a single player. I like players that justify themselves no matter how you play. Havertz for instance brings us up the pitch against the best pressing sides (PSG/Liverpool), then he dominates crowded areas in the box to score from deliveries. —He helps our buildup, without anyone else —He helps us against organized defences, if anyone can cross the ball (Trossard to him vs PSG) Havertz basically needs no one specifically to contribute for him to be able to help Arsenal against a high pressing side like Liverpool or a low, mean defence like Brentford. Gyokeres? He needs someone to generate chaos, first, so he can profit from it. Like a Madueke or an Eze driving forcefully through the middle. That means the moment we have to play less suitable players, his usefulness against a high pressing side or a low block diminishes. Against a Liverpool, he is not winning duels, fouls and long balls from the goalkeeper like Havertz can to render their press meaningless. Against a Brentford, where there is no space at all in the box, he is not dominating the air to finish like Havertz can. He needs people around him to generate chaos by force, then he profits. Haaland for instance is large enough to win long balls from goalkicks against a high press. Remember him to KDB against Arsenal? I am sure you remember. Haaland can also score off scraps in the box against very packed defences. At Arsenal, once a few injuries set in to certain players against certain teams, Gyokeres is in trouble. For me, this is inefficient squad building. You want players to have self-reliant capacities independent of their teammates or the system against any type of team. That means injuries don't change your level as a team. The price of 50M + 5M reflects the fact that we see Gyokeres like a tactical weapon. But this is the same as a Zinchenko. Specific tactical weapons are good, but not at the level we want to be. Real Madrid would rather not buy a striker than buy a specific tactical weapon. They will wait until the best possible profile who can play under any coach or in any circumstances is available. This is why you pay money for an Isak. Or bet on the potential of one like Ekitike or Sesko. Just like Newcastle did in 2022 with Isak. No compromises. Gyokeres is a tactical compromise. I want independent Galaticos. Andrea Berta however disagrees.
