Yes, I walked the entire rally in Tehran without a hijab and guess what happened? Absolutely nothing. There is evidently more of a relaxed tone around hijab- I experienced it for myself.

چه اهمیتی داره که یک واژه تبدیل به فحش شده باشه وقتی ایدهها زندهاند؟ جامعه نابرابری رو میفهمه و اصلا از همین هم ناراضیه. آدمها میبینند که در تحریم هم ثروتمندترها برخوردارتر میشوند و ضعیفترها ضعیفتر. بیشتر آنها هوادار شکلی از بیمه فراگیرند. فرصت برابر آموزشی و تحصیل رایگان میخواهند. حمایت بازنشستگی جدیتر، توان چانهزنی در برابر کارفرما و شرایط شغلی عادلانهتر، بیمه بیکاری، مسکن در دسترس، و تأمیناجتماعی فراگیر. غالب مردم مجذوب شکلی از دولت رفاهاند و امکان زیست شرافتمندانه. حالا چهارتا لمپن و رعیت استبداد شاهی، چپ را تبدیل به فحش کرده باشند، چه اهمیتی داره؟ چراغ این ایدهها روشنه.

I have no doubt that the paid mercenaries of Israel and the United States murdered people in Iran. There are many videos emerging of the violence they perpetrated like the one below. The idea that the Iranian government is responsible for deaths caused by Western-funded and armed terrorists is ridiculous.

Claiming that 350,000 people were wounded in the Iran protests, and that they were all treated in hospitals, is completely insane. Printing that figure is utterly absurd.

Numbers are political; reporting on them often serves a political function and this is one of the most abysmal examples. In this article the LBC gives a total of 4 possible numbers of Iranians killed by their government ranging from around 16,500 to 80,000 - no sources provided. It does cite a single random finance guy, positioned as an activist, with zero credibility or even methodological training. Again, zero sources cited. It’s actually shocking how journalistically egregious this article is. Palestinian healthcare workers provided every single name they could for their dead, with ages included, and the whole of Western news media offered them as ‘liars’ and inherently questionable when their healthcare ministry was labelled “Hamas-run”. There were countless headlines and words dedicated to denying the number of Palestinians killed. What’s the difference in determining these numbers that lends itself to this difference in treatment?
