We are working to help eliminate #cervicalcancer globally! BHI joined forces with PAHO to support the governments of Antigua and Barbuda in launching a nation-wide #cervicalcancer screening and treatment program.

Women around the world do not have equal access to three potentially life-saving #cervicalcancer interventions: Vaccination, Screening, and Treatment. We perform ground-breaking global research to help women get the care they need and prevent this devastating disease.

Cervical cancer can often be found early, and sometimes even prevented, by having regular screening tests. If detected early, #cervicalcancer is one of the most successfully treatable cancers.

BHI traveled to Antigua and Barbuda and met with top leaders of the Ministry of Health and Environment, medical staff of the local #cervicalcancer task force, hospitals and laboratories to discuss the launch of the cervical cancer screening and treatment pilot program on Sept. 1.

BHI joins the world in mourning the death of actress Robyn Griggs who starred in 'One Life to Live'. Griggs died on Aug. 13, at age 49. After going in for a standard pap smear, she was diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer.
