When it comes to Mdu, we should consume those team stats with his individual contributions, too. The focus is often too much on his weaknesses to an extent that it feels like we have players who create better than him. The fact that he is leading in terms of chance created justifies our win rate with him starting. It doesn't mean he doesn't have weaknesses that must be addressed, it means, with his weaknesses, he still contributes a lot of positives to help the team win even if he doesn't score himself. My only fear with Mdu is him being coached by people who are failing to identify weaknesses in his game but only appreciate the positive contributions like those stats when he's a young player who can still grow and improve so much in his game. They focus on trying to get those key passes or direct runs between defenses, but they don't seem to work on his timing, especially for shooting. Nabi seemed to have made him connect with the attack with fewer touches by keeping him up the pitch more. The next focus should have been his technique, he often goes for the wrong technique for shooting, and that affects his goal return. He is never calm around the box, rushes himself, and would twist his foot in crazy ways to release a shot. And also crossing where you'll often see him go under the ball, no intention to curl or pinpoint it. His movement in the final 3rd and runs behind are his strongest weapon, but then you get poor crossing technique when he's wide or shooting when he's a bit central. I wished Majoro could work with that as they practice shooting, but I saw him use that same technique even in those videos. So, the boy might have weaknesses, but his contribution to our positive results as inconsistent as they are is still worth more than many who often play ahead of him. Mdu is amongst the best creators in the league. This is reason to believe that he deserves to get consistent minutes. When he's off, use him as a sub. But we don't seem to have that intelligence with our coaches. They'll use him more while he's off. They don't even seem to recognize his weaknesses.
