@SkySportsNews I would suggest that the answer lies with refereeing standards . The ‘Big’ clubs get away with murder week in and week out in the PL. Refreshingly they don’t seem to enjoy the same levels of favouritism in European competitions!

It was nice to get out for a spot of local plein air oil sketching with my small 7x5” thumb box. The changing light, the cold, the wind and rain, all make for an exciting challenge. It’s the most fun you can have with your anorak on.

Overall, a higher quantity of high quality shots will lead to more goals. Yes, players need to convert, and defenders/keepers still need to perform well. That being said, Staying in the green quadrant here will lead to success. Thank you! #CPFC #PL #PremierLeague

Looking at Non-Penalty Expected Goals per Shot (“NPxG/shot”) is an excellent way to view average shot quality. However, while it shows quality, it doesn’t show shot QUANTITY. Plotting NPxG/shot against Total Shots shows both - which reveals overall attack potency. #CPFC #PL

Using Post-Shot Expected Goals (PSxG), we see goals that “should have” been scored based on location & placement Subtracting PSxG from Goals Allowed shows goals (theoretically) prevented by good shot-stopping This metric- “PSxG Difference” - for the Premier League👇🏼 #CPFC #PL
