We don't celebrate our winners enough in Europe, says @Ronanchamberss co-founder and co-host of @etnshow The region suffers from tall poppy syndrome and it’s hurting founders. etn.’s approach is different: highlight the people shaping the ecosystem and celebrate what they’re building. This time, @harrietsgreen is joined by @etnshow co-founder @Ronanchamberss , to talk about what’s changing in media, brand building, and the European tech ecosystem. 💪 @bookprotectors didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in a gym. By picking up combat sports, @nicksarathhh met active-duty law enforcement officers doing private security work on the side. The demand was clearly there, it just needed a better system – one that made security easier to access and simpler for contractors to find work. Sometimes the best ideas come from seeing broken systems up close. 🎧Listen to the full interview, out now.

@bookprotectors has been called everything from “on-demand policing” to “Uber for guns.” In this episode of Basis Points, @harrietsgreen speaks with @nicksarathhh , Founder & CEO of @bookprotectors , to discuss why the backlash debate misses the point and how private markets can complement public services rather than replace them. Full interview out tomorrow!

Powerful systems are shaping behaviour faster than society can respond from short-form video engineered for addiction to unregulated digital gambling dressed up as “markets”. What links them isn’t geography or product category. It’s incentives. When platforms are optimised solely for engagement and growth, with little accountability to the people they serve, the downstream effects land hardest on the most vulnerable. This isn’t anti-technology. It’s a call to be honest about how it’s designed, who it serves, and what responsibility looks like when systems operate at massive scale. Watch the full conversation with @antifraudco 's @hajsharda now to find out more about what happens when growth outruns accountability.

In response to systems that feel broken, people often vote for more state – even when state intervention is part of what’s making life harder. Rather than experiencing relief when there’s high government control, the opposite often happens: higher barriers to entry, fewer ladders to climb and less room for upward mobility. This was especially notable in Harriet's recent trip to the States, where she sat down with Sahaj Sharda, CEO and co-founder of The Antifraud Company, where we talked power, policy, the unintended consequences of well-intentioned intervention and why it matters for anyone trying to get ahead. 👀 Watch the full episode now.

For @hajsharda , the US college bribery scandals crystallised something much bigger: the widening gap between the moral codes of the upper classes and everyone else, and how that gap fuels polarisation. America’s founding myth is one of equal opportunity, but when elite institutions quietly bend the rules for those with money and power, that myth erodes and is replaced by fatalism. The belief that the system is rigged. That effort doesn’t matter. With @antifraudco , Sahaj’s goal is to challenge conduct that pushes society further away from fairness, accountability and trust, and to prove that the rules still matter. Watch the full conversation now, covering fraud, inequality and what kind of country the States chooses to be.

Information has never been cheaper, but University has never been more expensive. Abraham Lincoln taught himself law by borrowing books and studying in a barn. Today, we have YouTube, Google, ChatGPT – the most powerful learning tools ever created, and yet, tuition fees have only gone up and to the right. If universities exist primarily to disseminate information, the math no longer adds up. The cost of information has collapsed, but the price of access hasn’t. So what are universities actually selling? For more views from @hajsharda, CEO and co-founder of @antifraudco, on education, the polymarket, building a company and the state of the US, watch the full episode now.

@northroadben puts it perfectly: Be an active participant in your own experience. If you’re in, be all in. If you’re no longer energised by the work, the place, or the path – change direction. Because this is your one wild, free, precious life. It’s yours to shape. 👀 Watch the full episode now.

@northroadben says that even at SpaceX – landing rockets, working on world-changing tech – the most thrilling job on the planet can stop feeling like your life’s work. Your greatest work isn’t a single moment. It evolves. It compounds. And if you’re lucky, life becomes a series of ‘greatests’, each one bigger and more meaningful than the last.” 👀 Watch the full episode now.

The biggest bottleneck to human progress isn’t talent, money, or ideas – it’s energy. Without clean, stable, affordable power, you can’t scale food production, housing, manufacturing, or even the advanced fuels that will power the next century. But if energy becomes abundant? Everything else unlocks. The problems that feel impossible today suddenly become solvable. Energy is the foundation for the future we want. ⚡ Out now, our conversation with @northroadben

@SpaceX taught @northroadben this: a company is defined by its people, not its figurehead. He worked alongside some of the world’s brightest engineers – the ones who turned “impossible” into landing rockets. And now he’s doing the same at Applied Atomics, working to build the next-gen energy supply and solve the global energy crisis. 🚀 New Basis Points episode, out now.

Energy underpins everything – our economy, our climate path, our future as a species. This week, @harrietsgreen sits down with @northroadben , CEO of Applied Atomics and former @SpaceX lead engineer, whose mission is bold: deploy small nuclear reactors as the backbone of the world’s clean energy system. In this episode, he explains why small reactors aren’t just viable, but essential, and why the future of energy will determine everything else we care about. 🚀 Don’t miss out, full conversation drops tomorrow.
