'Exergo', by Jorge Moneo, will be part of the programme at Vienna Shorts in the Focus section. The festival presents between 250 and 350 short films from around the world across its four competitions and special programmes. It will take place from the 26th to the 31st of May.

‘Sundays’, by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, among the award-winning works at the Platino Awards. The ceremony, held on 9 May in Riviera Maya, brought together some of the most notable productions in Ibero-American cinema. Among the works recognised, ‘Sundays’ received several awards. 💪

Paul Urkijo’s ‘Gaua’ is continuing its impressive international festival run. 🏆 The film has won the Méliès d’Argent for Best Film at Fantaspoa. It has also won Best Screenplay in the Ibero-American competition. Congratulations!

In the feature film section, ‘Decorado’ by Alberto Vázquez will compete, while in the feature film Contrechamp section ‘Winnipeg, Seeds of Hope’ by Beñat Beitia and Elio Quiroga will take part. Congratulations and best of luck!

Great news for Basque cinema! The official programme for the Annecy Festival has now been announced. The event will take place from the 21st to the 27th of June, and this year it will feature Basque presence in two of its main sections.

‘Cautivas’, by Itxaso Díaz, has been awarded the Best Women’s Rights prize at the California Women’s Film Festival 🏆 A recognition of its powerful storytelling and its commitment to raising awareness of women’s rights through cinema. Congratulations to the whole team!
