for context: my older sister is adopted.
Anyway my older sister has had this best friend since high school with whom the relationship has been pretty one sided with my sister always being the one being the bigger person.
So a month or two ago my sisters best friend lost her mom. My sister was broke that weekend and almost didn’t make it to the funeral. She also went to buy her best friend a dress because she kept saying she doesn’t have the strength to do it herself.
My sister also got asked to sleep at the family house on the weekend of the funeral. First she declined, then she slept over on Friday. The Saturday (day of the funeral), my sister was just the supportive friend. Okay cool. So certain rooms were locked because yk it’s a funeral.
Anyway my sister and her best friend were sleeping in the same room with her best friends kids. 😭 after the funeral and after tears? My sister decided she wants to go to our house. her best friend was trying to convince her to stay. She yielded a bit but when no one saw her she left but she left her overnight bag from Friday.
It is now Sunday, my sister decides to go and see how her best friend is doing. She gets there and they tell her the best friend went out but she’ll be back. My sister decided to wait for her. My sister also decides to go fetch the overnight she left the previous evening.
😭😭😭😭 you won’t believe me when I say…. SOMEONE SHAT IN HER BAG…. 😭✋🏾✋🏾✋🏾✋🏾 LIKE REAL SHIT guys. POOO😭✋🏾 so now everyone is appalled because wtf? 😭
And another thing is only one person had access to that room. 😭🕊️ my sisters best friend hasn’t spoken to her since, hasn’t called to apologise for the incident. NOTHING. Instead my sister was getting calls from the best friends cousins and uncles/aunts apologising.

Guys, filmmakers aren’t employees. They don’t fit the typical labor department spec. they are called “independent contractors” which means they have NO LABOR RIGHTS, NO RETIREMENT FUND, NO UIF. they work 12hrs six days a week with overtime that may or may not be paid. And you know what?! They will continue to take jobs with questionable contracts and productions because people survive gig to gig and pray to God the producers won’t pull a fast one on them.. Productions not paying people is actually more common that it is aired on news platforms. We have a minister of arts who gives us a middle finger every chance he gets so we can’t even rely on him for support. The public mocks us for taking “senseless jobs” or assuming we’re “spending money recklessly”. Unfortunately our cries keep falling on deaf ears and we are literally on our own. We can’t even afford stay aways cos breach of contract and no work no pay. Support filmmakers whenever you can guys. It’s extremely tough, especially for crew.

That’s plainly untrue.
1. Her salary reverts to a back bench MP. (R2,79m > R1.25m)
2. DPWI will send her a letter telling her to vacate the Ministerial Residences by end of next month.
3. SAPS will send her another one telling her her Protection detail has been terminated, but she can keep 1x Driver-Protector until the end of next month.
4. The DG will tell her she can must return the Official Vehicles by the end of next month.
5. The contracts of her staff are terminated by operation of law, with effective departure date being end of next month, UNLESS the new Minister retains them.
