I think the new Masters trailer is fine, but it is really missing the gravitas of the old package artwork. This looks pretty epic and has some grit. The trailer feels really clean and bright, and MOTU never felt that way. As a kid, it felt dangerous. I am hoping it's a good time, but my excitement did not go up. Look how epic this Castle Grayskull looks? It looks scary and full of mystery. The one in the film looks like it would be at Disneyland.

.@grok - Say the #PeanutProject group secures land for a potential @Montreal_Expos stadium as part of the #4C Creative Cultural Commercial Campus. Would it be feasible to build as much of the core structure as possible upfront (i.e., the field footprint, base infrastructure, and initial seating configuration for a baseball diamond), and then—once @MLB makes its decision in 2028—complete the interior and final seating layout to reflect a baseball-first stadium? In a downside scenario, could the venue instead be finished as a flexible, mixed-use stadium (soccer, football, outdoor hockey, cricket, boxing/wrestling/MMA, motorsports, concerts, etc.)? In other words: is there anything that would prevent us from starting construction as soon as land is secured, even if a @Montreal MLB franchise is not yet confirmed? p.s. I’m of course consulting architects, design firms, and builders—but I like going in informed. Sometimes entrepreneurs see angles that traditional experts don’t immediately consider.

@ashkan @Montreal_Expos Like wondering if there’s a way to build on a part of the park, would have nice views. Also the metro has a pretty big bus terminal with many busses coming from South shore. Again, sorry if bad idea lol

We are hearing more behind-the-scenes chatter from WonderCon, and it lines up with what has already been circulating about James Gunn and the future of DC. According to various insiders we spoke with at WonderCon, Gunn is still expected to be out at DC, and we were told that could even happen before Man of Tomorrow, which gets released in July 2027. We were also told something else interesting regarding Zack Snyder. According to the insiders we spoke with, Snyder did not go to them about coming back. We were told it was the other side that approached Snyder about a possible SnyderVerse return. We've also been told more info about the Saudis, Trump, and more.

Sitting in hair salon thinking about Bollywood before Modi turned everything into a tool for polarization, propaganda and hate. Those were good times. I still know the entire Nimbooda dance choreography.

The Islamo-Fascist Islamic Republic isn't even hiding their ethnic cleansing genocide anymore: "Its willingness to inflict violence upon its own people has been demonstrated time and again over the past 47 years. But never has it been more intense than during the nationwide protests in January, when security forces gunned down thousands in the streets over a matter of days. Now facing an existential threat, the regime is angry and armed and sees enemies all around. The warning signs are unmistakable. Armed Basij patrol neighborhoods. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has sent text messages to citizens warning that “a blow even stronger than that of January 8” awaits those who protest. Hundreds of arrests have taken place across the country since the current conflict began, according to research by the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI). The detained include not only January protesters tracked down by the authorities but also activists, students, members of religious and ethnic minorities, and ordinary citizens. Sources inside Iran report checkpoints in Tehran, Mashhad and other cities, where security forces stop individuals, confiscate their phones and search for “suspicious” content. Iranian judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejehi has made the regime’s position explicit: “Individuals who collaborate with the enemy in any manner are considered part of the enemy’s forces and will be dealt with accordingly.” In practice, the regime defines “collaboration” so broadly as to encompass any form of dissent — activists, lawyers defending political prisoners, doctors who treated wounded protesters, members of religious or ethnic minorities, or simply individuals whose private messages or social media posts run afoul of the state." @WayneCl79683722 @ashkan @Montreal_Expos Good idea! We may have been too focused on the St.Lawrence river when we have other waterways too. And that location has good access to south shore and even West Island wouldn't be that far.

In this breakdown of #ExposFAQ we look at land options for a new stadium for the @Montreal_Expos were @MLB to return. I also share the results of a survey on the matter with 1,000 responses. Analysis and summary linked in the Replies. As always, thank you for taking the time to take the survey. Merci.

@ashkan @Montreal_Expos IMO you need two things, next to water for the view and metro (not REM, too many areas without access) . Not sure there is a space like that

@ashkan Someone once told me, international politics is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites pointing their fingers at each other. Iran wasn't so concerned about civilian damage when they supported Russia levelling Syria, US has actually used nukes ,etc.

There’s a level of obsession here that’s hard to ignore. Every country and government can—and should—be criticized. Israel is no exception. But when the focus becomes disproportionate, especially while ignoring far more serious issues closer to home, it raises questions. For context, only a handful of civilizations—like China, Egypt, and Iran—have maintained continuous identity, culture, and historical continuity over thousands of years. Most modern states, including many in Europe and the Middle East, are relatively recent political constructs shaped by history, war, and agreements. So if we start questioning whether one country “deserves to exist,” then logically that standard would have to apply to many others. Or we accept that modern states exist as a reality of history—and focus instead on how they govern and coexist. Israel has existed for over 75 years and built a functioning state. Shouldn't the question be "Does Palestine has a right to exist?" (and I was always in favor of a 2-state solution, until post 10/7 I listened to Palestinians who were not interested in that, and wanted all of the land... which I thought was unrealistic given reality). But I digress. The jealousy, envy, hatred of Israel borders on sheer lunacy. It's a tiny strip of land surrounded by 1 billion Arab who became Muslim through colonialism. Line 1 is ringing, it's self awareness, you may want to take the call.
Cenk Uygur@cenkuygur

The framing of the question “does Israel have a right to exist” is fundamentally misleading. It’s meant to frame Israel as the victim and fighting for their very survival. That’s utter nonsense. Israel exists, has nukes, Iron Dome and a dominant military. PALESTINE DOESN’T EXIST.

It's very clear what Israel is planning here... they want to destroy Iran while Iran destroyes all the gulf states. Leaving them as the lone hegemone in that region. What else is the plan here?
