Angel's scoreboard, 1970s. Standing 230 feet tall with a halo on top, the massive A-frame scoreboard was installed when the stadium opened in 1966. The scoreboard featured a distinctive halo that would light up after Angels victories. When the stadium was expanded and enclosed for the Los Angeles Rams in 1979-1980, the scoreboard was moved outside the stadium to the parking lot, where it still stands today.

This NYC 1950 single family home of mostly brick, was bought in 1957 by one of the greatest jazz trumpeters of all time, Roy Eldridge (1911-1989). When his daughter died 2009 the home was taken by the government for unpaid taxes and Eldridge's entire archive of unique recordings and instruments was dumped. However, most of it was saved by a local who rescued but later lost most of it in the a 2012 hurricane. What little remains today was saved from the salt water by a desperate group of jazz historians. Photos from 1950s and 2020s. 194-19 109th Ave. in St. Albans, Queens, New York, in 1957.
