For starters, I was kept on hold for 7 months by an org, then excluded at the last minute because of internal politics. I stuck by my duo, Yuvi, to get him included, and we both got dropped for it. I looked for spots elsewhere, but teams were locked or hesitant due to reasons out of my control. Another great opportunity slipped away because of some messy rumors, people throwing names around for clout (which I am more than ready to clear the air about). Despite 7 months of waiting and the setbacks, I’m still competing this season. I’ve formed a roster with close friends who are balancing full-time academics.
