Alfabusa was your average /tg/ browsing nerd who decided to take tons of 4chan 40k memes which were old and tired, even by 4chan's standards, and dredge them up to create his little web series. He pulled a CinemaSins in that he presented it as educational about the lore, but he was clearly not knowledgeable enough about it to do such a show. He would get things flagrantly wrong, present memes as canon, or just make shit up entirely. When pressed on it, he'd say, "IT'S PARODY!" rather than just accept being incorrect. Reddit eventually latched into the series and Alfabusa pivoted hard from being a fa/tg/uy to a Redditor overnight. It went from just wrong about the lore to outright fixer-Sue fanfic territory. A change also motivated by the Gathering Storm dashing a lot of his fanfic tier takes on characters like Guilliman. Alfabusa was pretty much tired of working on the show by the end and grifted hard off the Games Workshop fan animation situation as an excuse to quit without finishing the final episode while also leaching donation money from gullible Redditors. You can directly blame ideas like the Tau being good guys, Chaos having a good side, the "Chaos God of Unbelief," Black Templars being "loyalist World Eaters," and a million other bad lore takes on TTS. And a lot of people who "learned the lore" through TTS would rather die than correct themselves.
