On the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, we remember the sacrifice of ‘the Few’ and the many who stood with them. Their courage in 1940 continues to inspire today’s @RoyalAirForce. Per ardua ad astra.

Today is the anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the 112-day battle for control of Britain's skies between July and October 1940. Among those who fought in the battle were pilots and aircrew from at least fourteen countries - including Wales. Earlier this year, BBCRadioWales visited the Abbey to tell the story of the Welsh fighter aces who took part in the battle.
