A Kansas City woman was denied medical care while suffering back-to-back seizures after her husband filed a complaint against Overland Park Regional Hospital One week agoa man named Quae filed a complaint on behalf of his wife, Nisha, at the hospital due to her experiencing seizures. Hours after her discharge, she was found blocks away in a puddle of water on the side of the road, having another seizure. A Good Samaritan discovered her and provided assistance until emergency medical services arrived. Hours later, Quae learned about the incident and reported the hospital. Later that day, his wife had another seizure and was discharged after they discovered that the husband had filed a report against the hospital. Hospital staff called security on the husband after he confronted them for refusing to care for her while she was having seizures. Security personnel escorted the husband and his wife from the room while having seizures. That is when the husband contacted the Overland Park Police Department. Upon their arrival, they witnessed the incident as Quae was providing aid to his wife. Police informed them that they had to take action, prompting the emergency room staff to intervene.

Forney Independent School District has notified families about an ongoing multi-agency investigation involving serious misconduct allegations against a teacher at a Crosby campus. According to the district, the teacher was immediately removed once the allegations surfaced. Multiple aides were taken off campus within 48 hours, and the principal is no longer with the district. Officials confirmed none of the individuals involved will be returning. The district says it quickly reported the situation to law enforcement, Child Protective Services, and the Texas Education Agency, and is now cooperating with all agencies as the investigation continues. Officials also revealed the teacher was hired in October 2025 under a different name after passing background checks, including DPS and FBI fingerprinting, and holding valid certification through the State Board of Education. During the investigation, it was discovered the teacher had legally changed his name and had previously faced charges under that prior name but was acquitted. Due to the active investigation and privacy laws, the district says it cannot release further details at this time. Families directly impacted have already been contacted by authorities. We need to stop EBT cards and electronic transfers of funds for public assistance programs. Go back to physical manifestations of being on public assistance -- standing in lines, dealing with govt bureaucrats in state and local offices, using a form of payment that requires separate handling from the general public. Make it more INCONVENIENT -- not easier. Then you'll have less of it.

They beat Seath with wooden boards, shot him multiple times, chased him down when he tried to run, dragged him back inside, beat him more in the bathtub, tried to break his legs to stuff him in a sleeping bag… then Bargo shot him in the face to finish the job. They burned the body in the backyard fire pit for hours, broke up the bones, stuffed the remains in paint cans, and dumped them in a quarry. Bargo was sentenced to death in 2013. Then the sentence got thrown out because the jury vote wasn’t unanimous. Resentenced in 2019 12-0 for death. Florida Supreme Court upheld it in 2021. He’s still on death row in 2026… 13+ years later. And that’s the problem with death row in Florida and across the country. What’s the actual point if the appeals process drags on for 15, 20, even 25+ years? Endless post-conviction motions, federal habeas claims, challenges to the method of execution all while taxpayers foot the bill for housing, feeding, and medical care. The system is built to prevent executing the wrong person… but in cases this clear-cut and this brutal, it just turns into a slow, expensive life sentence instead of justice. Bargo is still sitting at Union Correctional Institution with more appeals pending. Tell me I’m wrong, but at some point this stops looking like justice and starts looking like a loophole.
