Experiment #2 @MagicEden : Swaps on 50K #USDT — painful but insightful Continuing the series of experiments on real expenses and their impact on the leaderboard on @MagicEden : This time I decided to push through 50,000 #USDT in volume to see the real cost of fees. To make the results more flexible, I split the volume into two parts: — 20,000 USDT on the @base network, $ETH ↔ $USDC pair — 30,000 $USDT on the @solana network, $SOL ↔ USDC pair Now to the juicy part — the numbers: 🔹 Swap fee for 20K on @base : $157 🔹 Swap fee for 30K on @solana : 2 #SOL (≈ $302) 🔹 Total cost: $457 (almost 1%) Observation along the way: When performing a swap, the platform first displays one amount, but the actual amount received in the wallet is lower — after all fees are applied. @WalkerHebborn , maybe it makes sense to show the final amount right away? (I attached a screenshot in the comments) @skyL2023 , bro, How much have you already burned on fees? I feel like in some parallel universe you're already cruising in a @Tesla paid for entirely with swap fees.😅 What's next? I’m thinking of doing the next test on volumes via #Rune + #NFT swaps. But honestly, the #NFT market now looks like a bot farm, and doing anything manually there has become a full-blown art form.
