@Saznime @FabrizioRomano Further up you see "winning national supercup and/or winning national league cup" under the requirements. Had they won the EFL Cup it would have counted, since it is a national league cup.

@Saznime @FabrizioRomano So after some research I found out that in the calendar 2023, Manchester City would have won a sextuple had they won either the 2023 Community Shield or else the EFL Cup of the previous season (2022-23). They failed to win either of them, so they didn't get their sextuple.

From Wikipedia: The national titles in a continent are: - winning national league - winning national cup - winning national supercup and/or winning national league cup The international titles in a continent are: - winning top competition such as UEFA Champions League in Europe or Copa Libertadores in South America - winning continental super cup such as UEFA Super Cup in Europe or Recopa Sudamericana in South America The international titles worldwide are: - winning FIFA Intercontinental Cup and/or winning FIFA Club World Cup So actually if a Premier League club wins 6 out of 8, it still counts. And a missed trophy could be the Community Shield as long as they win the league cup instead.

@Saznime But they could still unite under the concept of "let's win it for him because it's his last chance" sort of thing.

But to do that? You need a wide gap of talent between the team so one accepts that he’s the beta and others are alpha, in Portugal Vitinha is the best midfielder in the world but Bruno would take exception to that, the attackers are all mid and almost the same, Ronaldo is far older than Messi was in 2022

@Saznime Maybe they unite to play for Ronaldo like Argentina (and officials) did for Messi 4 years ago. FIFA always loves a good fairy tale.

@BayernForumCom Honestly, on paper, they do buttt, in reality I don’t think so. Portugal strike me as a team with incredibly talented players who simply are not a team in the national team if that makes sense. And they lack immense quality in the attack

Portugal have what it takes to win the World Cup. They also have a mix of profiles, for example Palhinha who I mentioned will most likely not start, but he could still be options for some matches maybe off the bench. It's good to be able to bank on having a substitution allowing you to distinctly change tactically.

@Saznime And what's also interesting is that his compatriot Palhinha has also scored two bicycle goals this season, albeit in different matches.

So if they win 6 out of 7 with the one they fail to win being the FA Community Shield, you don't think it should count as a sextuple? Because PL fans (wrongly) consider the community shield as a preseason friendly for charity, and consider the Carabao Cup as one of bigger prestige.

The carabao cup and it’s not my opinion, it’s fact, the carabao cup is not needed and doesn’t count towards the treble or quadruple or sextuple, it’s simply a tin can competition. The treble in the premier league is the league, the fa cup and the ucl. To make the sextuple, it’s the league, the fa cup, the ucl, the community shield, the uefa super cup and the intercontinental cup. In a club World Cup year, you add the club World Cup and you get septuple

@Saznime @FabrizioRomano To be honest, I was blissfully unaware you're actually calling it a sextuple. That's why I initially said 2, because I wouldn't have even thought possible that anyone would call that a sextuple. Maybe PSG history remembers it that way :)

@BayernForumCom @FabrizioRomano It’s not about what they could have called themselves in my opinion, it’s what history remembers, history and record remembers 3 sextuple winners, Barca, Bayern and PSG, this is the truth and all fact points to it

@Saznime @FabrizioRomano In England there are 3 domestic cups alongside the Premier League. Which trophies would you say that club can be allowed to lose in the final for it to still count as a sextuple in your opinion?

PSG do not talk about a sextuple, it IS a sextuple, as a matter of fact, it is the sextuple. 6/7, all six big trophies, only missing out on the newest addition in a 7 trophy calendar year. If a team is to win the sextuple this year, they would win the exact same 6 trophies that psg won in 2025

I am convinced that Bayern would not have called themselves sextuple winners had they been instead of PSG last season. They have never given a name when they didn't make a clean sweep. And it's ironic because in 2012/13 they called it a treble because they don't really value the German Super Cup so they didn't call it a quadruple. And in 2013 they didn't call it a quintuple, because they said even though we don't value the German Super Cup, it should still count.

6/6 was the original before 2025, with the new club World Cup and the intercontinental cup (old club World Cup) psg could no longer win a 6/6, rather 6/7 was available, which remains to win all 6 main cup titles, the premier league has that tin cup, the carabao, it cat count towards the treble or the sextuple. Now PSG met all the conditions of the sextuple but didn’t win the club World Cup which would have been a historic Septuple, to say you don’t consider it the sextuple would be to say that if a team wins all 6 titles this year, it won’t be a sextuple noting that it would be the exact 6 trophies that psg won. Do you see now? And linfield and the other you mentioned, they did not fulfill the set conditions

Bayern won: - 4 competitions out of 4 in 2012/13 - 5 competitions out of 6 in the calendar year 2013 (failed at the German Super Cup) - 4 competitions out of 6 in 2013/14 - 2 competitions out of 4 in the calendar year 2014 The only thing they gave a name to out of these was the 2012/13 season and called it a "Triple" (treble), despite the fact that they actually won 4 competitions in it. If Bayern don't call it a quintuple because they "only" won 5 out of 6 (with literally the least prestigious one not won), then PSG shouldn't be talking about a sextuple when they missed out on a competition much bigger than the German Super Cup.

For me, the only logical thing is that you need to win 6 out of 6 trophies one of which makes you at least continental champion. If you start excusing non-wins on trophies, then you end up having to justify why you left out the Linfields and the Vallettas. PSG dropped a trophy. And it wasn't the French Super Cup, it was actually the most inclusive trophy in the world. So just like you think Linfield shouldn't be named because they didn't win their most inclusive trophy (the European Cup), I also think PSG missing out on their most inclusive trophy that year makes them ineligible. The whole point of Barcelona and Bayern being talked about in that way was that there was no doubt they were the very best: they dominated every competition they played in. PSG didn't. They lost 3-0 to Chelsea and were crowned world champions in 2025.

From this I know you already get the point but are simply hell bent on having the last word, I don’t care about that, a sextuple consist of the domestic league title, main Cup title, ucl, domestic supercup, European supercup and club World Cup (now intercontinental cup) this is the sextuple and this is what is available this year In 2029, there would be a chance to claim a sextuple and then a septuple, with the addition of the new club World Cup… I hope this answers your question???

@Saznime @FabrizioRomano Let me ask you another question. If PSG win the French Super Cup, the French Cup and Ligue 1, but fail to win the Champions League, would you count that as a treble?

@Felix_Manyindo I think it mixed "playing dirty" with playing rough, even though I used the word cheaters.

I asked ChatGPT to "create a tactically-sound football formation with the players who are considered the biggest cheaters in football" and to then put it into a formation image. This is the result. Who would you swap?
