Look at all the top teams today and their midfield pivots, atlest one of them can carry the ball and beat defenders. Name one Bayern midfielder from the double pivot who can do or does that? YOU CAN'T!

No 8s are not CDMs
They contribute to the defence instead of just being attack oriented. Pedri for example, he's an 8, he runs, supplies, provides, beats defenders aaaaaaand on top of that he also contributes to the defence.

CDM stands for Central Defensive Midfielder. "Defensive" is the key word here, if he can't do proper defending, then he is anything but a CDM.
