@ithappens_death @PSHEassociation @drkathrynmannix In Suffolk we have made packs for teachers+accompanying webinar which is due to be rolled out in 2 weeks preparing teachers to support bereaved children. We also run bereavement forum so teachers can meet each other and give each other peer support+Q&A+psychoedu

Teachers will need to deal with bereaved students when schools reopen. Of course, referrals can be made for bereavement support but classroom management will be needed, too. What arrangements are in place to give teachers the info & support they will need? Here's Suffolk's idea.

More than 20,000 deaths from #COVID19 in the UK means over 100,000 people bereaved. Many of these will be children. There's an urgent national need to work with schools to ensure children and teachers have the bereavement support they need @CBNtweets @cbukhelp

Day 16 since both Dad & Mum passed. They are asleep now. Nothing or no-one to bother them anymore. Just sleeping forever. Nothing else. I like it that way. #bereavement #covid19
