What about the public school kids who were "gutted" when their seasons ended with a loss to a club team that has an obvious advantage? Who's looking out for them? Lewis Lovejoy was absolutely gutted in the postgame that his best friends went out on a loss. All the scoring accolades meant nothing, given the loss.

@itsAntWright Parents are also the WORST they’ve ever been towards refs. Surprisingly I’ve heard the worst things during women’s games towards me , the MHSAA needs : shot clock, ability to travel to other states., ability to host out of state tournaments .

I’ll never forget that feeling I had as a 12 year old when Michigan State won the Natty. The Sport was pure, group of homegrown players from Flint that would die for each other and not just a paycheck. Maybe I don’t want Izzo to to evolve and have that feeling cheapened to get #2

The defense was not good last season but they also were in a lot of close games because the offense was very inconsistent
That being said, it’s numerous ways for the team to ascend. I don’t think signing a big name DE is the only way to prove the team has gotten better

Basketball is designed to play 1 game a day. Not 2. We need to normalize our basic rules throughout high school, college, pros. One game a day, shot clock, quarters vs halves, 5 a second call, etc
