35 years old. I literally take nothing.I don’t use a gym. 🤷‍♂️. I’m hanging in there just fine with calisthenics + a small bit of dumbbell work + running. Just in case anyone wants to get in shape but hates the gym (like me) and think’s it’s hopeless.

It’s been a while but I did about six months into it. I’ve been traveling a lot. LDL was a bit elevation by inflammation markers are very low. My doctor is of the school of thought that LDL may not be as bad as previously thought. Everything else looked great. But I do eat things on Saturdays to make up from what little may be missing in my nutritional profile. I feel like it’s pretty close to how we evolved: big kill = meat. When that runs out, foraging for the rest of the things our bodies adapted to utilize. I feel like my way mirrors it pretty well. But I’d just talk to your doctor if you’re ever considering doing something like this.

@PurposeFULLred Yes. But on Saturday I fuck up some pizzas and brownies and whatever else. Guiness. Hahaha. So I’m usually only in ketosis 4 days out of the week. I use the energy from my Saturday refeed on Sunday to go on a very long run and do legs.

@PurposeFULLred But physiology is weird. What works for me may not work for you or someone else. I’m not predisposed to heart disease and my levels all look good, but that may not be the case for someone else. So I don’t want to oversell a red meat diet. Its case -by- case.

No. I would be honest if I took them, I promise. I take nothing. I eat meat and fish and eggs and cheese until Saturdays, then I refeed glycogen and leptin. That also helps with hormones since I’m running so dry on carbs. The only things I take are magnesium and potassium supplements for electrolytes. I don’t want to sound preachy on here, so I won’t get into the nutritional stuff, but for every gram of carbohydrates you consume, you store 3-4 grams of water. I stay under 15-20 grams per day (mainly from sauces and spices), and the red meat and fat keeps my testosterone healthy. No supplements. No TRT. The 1g =3-4 water rule is a big one for people wanting to reduce bloat. I notice if I even eat a slice of bread. Oh, and due to thermogenesis, you burn off ~30% of total calories in animal protein and it takes much longer to digest so you virtually never overeat. I just load up on steaks and burger patties . 🤷‍♂️ Long answer, but I want you to believe me when I saw you don’t need TRT.

@micheal_ws18 Thank you. I’m not married so it’s easier for me than most people my age and I enjoy it. That’s all. I just look at it as trying to wear the person inside my head on the outside. That way, it feels more like an expression of identity than it does discipline.

@JThiel Thank you! I do workout rigorously 6 days per week, but it’s mostly push-ups, pull ups, hand stand pushups, pistol squats, etc. - about 45 minutes worth, then I run. So yes, it does require work but it’ enjoyable and isn’t overwhelming. I appreciate your kind words.
