@SFenwick06120@BBCSport@MCFC I wouldn’t judge yet. A lot of City still going’s haven’t looked good in the initial stages of their careers under Pep. Rodri, Silva and Gundogan to name a few. & Sane didn’t even look like a professional footballer in his first few games. I’m a City fan & happy to give him time
On 60 minutes, please spare us this agony of pretending that Raheem Sterling is having a 'good game' and put in someone who will actually score or create. #WATMCI
Has anyone else noticed that the people defending banners held up at the Palace game against #NUFC are the same people who said politics should be kept out of football when players took the knee to support #BLM?
@robbie9123@BBCBreakfast Her answer to what she described as the problem of zero hours contracts was agency staff. She’s s bit of a comedian isn’t she.
@breathingproper@Larterlia@darrengrimes In the verdict they were exonerated of inflating sponsorhip - the flawed investigation was just something else uefa cocked up on
@BeCycling_Chris@Larterlia@darrengrimes It isn’t quite as cut and dry as you think, the UEFA ban was overturned more due to them making cock ups in the investigation and it is only in the last few months the EPL has been granted access to accounts previously withheld until a court order was obtained.
@breathingproper@Larterlia@darrengrimes Ok. If you know better than the courts who saw all the evidence, fair play to you. But you said they had been punished for breaching ffp and they weren’t.
@BeCycling_Chris@Larterlia@darrengrimes That is such a load of crap, there is no way they’d have gotten sponsorship deals at a higher level than MUFC, LFC or even Chelsea!!!
@LFCRedAbroad@ColNuman@chris_2976@SkySportsNews It is related because clubs are taking the moral high ground over sponsorship when they themselves are receiving money from money launderers and despotic regimes. Seems fairly clear to me. The big clubs are keen on discussing ethics too much though - except when it suits
@ColNuman@chris_2976@SkySportsNews How is that any way related? Every single major bank & financial institution has been fined at one point or another. At this point we’re not discussing the ethicality of the sponsors we’re discussing the companies being directly related to the owners & overinflating sponsorships
Premier League clubs voted on Monday to impose a temporary freeze on any of them signing commercial and sponsorship deals with businesses that have links to their club's owners.
@BeCycling_Chris@Larterlia@darrengrimes Theirs was the ffp investigation and the sponsorship deals were part of that as they were too high for certain years I think.
@breathingproper@Larterlia@darrengrimes I didn’t think City were found guilty. The verdict of CAS sad their sponsorhip deals hadn’t been inflated if I remember rightly.
