Closing off the programme, Julia Nampweya, our Senior Programmes Coordinator, thanked the parents for attending.  "Your presence is a testament to your willingness to make a meaningful impact in your children’s lives," she said.

Today, we hosted our first parent meeting of the year under the theme: Health and Harmony. 🩺🤝 This discussion aimed to promote parental dialogue with the campus, create space to discuss mental & reproductive health & help parents understand the support we offer.

Our Safe Choices Series began with expectations & ended it with knowledge. 💡 Our members learned valuable lessons on health, rights & well-being. This is not the end, it’s the beginning of the safe choices we hope they will continue to make. ✨

The pair highlighted the dangers of drug use, sharing that it can result in arrest. 🚔 They advised the members to not fall into peer pressure to use drugs, as it has devastating long term consequences compared to the short-term pleasure.

Yesterday, we concluded our Safe Choices Series with an enlightening session focused on preventing drug use. 🚫 Sergeant Endjala Menas & Warrant Kamati Kleopas from the Drug Law Enforcement Sub-division explained why saying no is the safest choice. ✨

To end the second day, Petrus Nendongo, our Senior Registered Nurse delivered a presentation on reproductive health and how to make informed health decisions. He urged young people to think carefully about their choices, especially those that affect their reproductive health.
