The guy who scored the game winner is Russian, was drafted from the Barrie Colts in the Ontario Hockey League. The guy who set up the game winner is Canadian, from the Western Hockey League.

As per his agent John Walters of Will Sports Group, Kade O’Rourke has signed with the GTHL’s Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA and will return to minor hockey for another season.
O’Rourke will be eligible for the OHL draft in 2027.
