Players going into the portal this spring, take a word of unsolicited advice - Don’t burn bridges with the school you are leaving. It’s possible to leave on good terms. Whether you like it or not the opinion of the staff you’re leaving is going to matter. They’re going to call and do their homework, and if they don’t that should be a red flag. Relationships matter.

A “scholarship” does not always equal a good opportunity.

High school coaches are expected to be champions, recruiting consultants, film scouts, & relationship managers — on top of teaching 6 classes a day. For pennies on the dollar. Some good ones are walking away. That’s a problem nobody’s talking about.

Despite what you’re lead to believe….everyone is not meant to be the star of the team. Everyone isn’t meant to be a starter. Not everyone is meant to even make the team.
