Sacramento State is in discussions to hire former Pro-Bowl QB Mike Vick as its new head coach, per sources. Sacramento State plans to move up to FBS, is building a new stadium and has over $50 million in NIL. Sacramento State would build an experienced coaching staff around Vick that is inline with the new frontier of college football.
I love this deal so much for the Red Sox. Grissom has had an excellent average and OBP at every minor league level. Chris Sale has a 4.16 ERA since 2019 in only 56 total starts. That’s 11 starts/season. Craig Breslow is already doing better than Chaim Bloom did.
Braves essentially doubling down on Sale trade. Sale will earn $16M in 2024 and $22M in ‘25. Braves guaranteeing second year to get $18M club option with no buyout on third year. New deal eliminates $10M deferral (until 2039) in previous contract and $5M deferral on previous club option. Braves still get $17M from Red Sox that was part of trade.
