Three-time Pro Bowl safety Kevin Byard is signing with the Patriots on a one-year, $9 million deal, per sources. Deal negotiated @DavidMulugheta of @AthletesFirst.
ESPN sources: the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Compensation still is being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins, but both sides are pushing to make it happen.
ESPN Insider @DanGrazianoESPN on the future of S Jaquan Brisker in Chicago: “The 2022 second-round pick still doesn’t have an extension, which isn’t the best sign in terms of his future with a team that has a ton of offseason decisions to make. It sounds to me as if Brisker will have an outside market that prices him out of Chicago.” Really hope the Bears can keep Brisker but sounds like it’ll depend on the price tag. 💰
Kevin Byard, set to be a free agent, says there's "mutual interest" for a return. Understands Bears/Poles will do what's best for the team, and he'll do what's best for his family, but "first option would be to come back to Chicago and finish what we started here." @cbschicago
