I am genuinely struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a small toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil?

@Martina Why wouldn't we be happy...we all had to fill out paperwork when we turned 18. Registration for the draft has been required for 18 year old men since 1917. Now we just don't have to do paper work. Why you hare having a fit about something that is federally required is beyond me.

The U.S. is trying to bomb and kill the surviving pilot in Iran. American jets have begun dropping massive payloads on the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province (largely uninhabited). They’ve withdrawn all helicopters and recon planes. They are not trying to rescue him.
