@adampatrickNFL Interesting observation. There was a good article recently about NFL offenses flexing back to heavier personnel. Seems like KAM on trend with that and our OC/HC haven’t yet made the shift

Am I wrong for thinking Kwesi Adofo-Mensah constructed the Vikings’ offense in the offseason the absolute right way (beef up the trenches, extend Oliver, trade for Mason) and KOC has been the one who has been super hesitant shifting his offense to fit his personnel?

I can’t help watching 22 yo JJ and just thinking how much of an absolute BALLER he might be at 26-27 years old

@vikingzfanpage Still the Lewis cine trade. That was a tough first miss. An impact player at that spot maybe changes trajectory of a lot of other dominos

I don't know if KOC can fix Zach Wilson. It's entirely possible Zach Wilson is a bust, regardless of infrastructure. What I *am* saying is there's value in racking up 5-6 NFL seasons, 30-40 NFL starts, and soaking in NFL processing and speed over that time. That's why guys like Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, Baker Mayfield, Mac Jones began to thrive later in their journeys.
Jeez@JeezLaWeez1984

@PhilMackey So you think KOC can’t fix JJ but he can fix Zach Wilson?

@Top100Rick Birdie on #2 at Running Y Resort in Klamath Falls Oregon. I’ve always wanted to play there. I’ve been nervous to go solo (I’m a 24 Hcp). Matched up with a guy who shoots around scratch. Birdied the second hole. Felt elated. (Put two in the water on the next hole to card a 9) 😆

What was your single hole golfing highlight of 2025? Mine has to be being the first ever to eagle the Par 4 5th hole at the new Scarecrow course at Gamble Sands. I don’t eagle often so to do it there during preview play is insane. (Most likely first. Both the super and GM thought so.)

@PhilMackey This is HILARIOUS (but also refreshingly balanced) to read from someone who used to straw man any free agent as a “cast off retread”. NFL QB is HARD. It takes some guys several years of reps to really see it. And finding the right coach-team-scheme fit is crucial

Something I've been thinking about a lot in regards to the Vikings' QB plight, but it applies to all QB-needy teams... Sometimes lost in the discussion of how to best develop young QBs (like JJ McCarthy) is the fact that the NFL is now producing a secondary market for talented QBs -- a market that exists because of A.) teams' lack of patience... and B.) how hard it is for young QBs to click early on. This market includes QBs who are either late-bloomers, were cast aside too early, or who weren't given proper development infrastructure. Former 1st round picks who were labeled busts but who are rising up in their mid/late-20's -- for FAR less $$ than top-of-the-market QBs make. Call it the Sam Darnold market -- a bin that also includes Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones, Geno Smith (until this season), and now Mac Jones. These are guys who have racked up 30-40 (mostly bad) NFL starts over 4, 5, 6 years, but through that experience have learned to process at a high level. QB-needy teams should ask themselves two questions: 1 - Would you rather draft a rookie QB and deal with ALL that goes with it -- the heightened pressure + steep learning curve + lack of patience from all stakeholders? OR... Is it actually a better strategy to explore the "Sam Darnold market" instead? 2 - Who is the next Sam Darnold?

Rich Paul has Desmond Bane as a top 5 SG in NBA “I like Desmond Bane because he’s a winning 2 guard… For me, yes i would say Desmond Bane is a top 5 guard for winning” (Via Game Over with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul)

@HeatCulture13 @MikeyTellez bro. Why is RP out here talking this weird sh*t right now. He often seems like a man with an agenda who is very careful with his words. It’s strange to have him just running his mouth and mostly denigrating the Lakers

Rich Paul asked if Norman Powell is a top 5 SG in the NBA “The best 2 guards are on the Olympic team. Norman Powell isn’t on the Olympic team. Does that mean Norman isn’t a really good 2 guard? No. We take the best two guards to go win Gold… I would say Norman Powell is in that tier 2 with Austin Reaves” (Via Game over with Max and Rich Paul) 🤔

That will go down as the Vikings' largest margin of victory in a shutout since 1980. A get-right game of sorts for J.J. McCarthy and, to be a cynic, a win when a loss was better for their 2026 draft position. Vikings 31, Commanders 0. FINAL.

@vkillem Interesting, I haven’t thought about how the salaries impact the trade package beyond player value from an on court production standpoint. AR getting a max from somebody this offseason and trading at current price point is kind of lost value

the Lakers trading Austin Reaves at a 12M salary then having to send all their depth as well to make up the difference is a losing trade for the Lakers its not about Austin its about the cost of getting Giannis
𝓢𝓾𝓼𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝓡𝓪𝓸@SushantRao

@vkillem You wouldn’t trade a top 15 player (Austin) for a top 5 player (Giannis)? I love Austin and his journey, but I’d make that trade

@DomClare It’s not really something defenses can affect tho. It’s body mechanics and footwork. Hes playing the position very well for the most part (in context of a first year starter second year qb with lots of lost practice time)

I genuinely hope he can “rewire” the way he plays quarterback because he has a lot of talent. I know some think I’m a hater but this is why I was concerned. I truly don’t think these issues can be fixed while playing. Defenses are not going to just let him figure it out. They will exploit. I want him to progress and I fear more harm than good will be done. Hoping for the best either way.
Alec Lewis@alec_lewis

Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy: "Coming in here, I was taught how to play quarterback a very different way." How hard is it to rewire? "It's really hard. You're rewiring neurological pathways, and that's not something that happens overnight."

I think it will be difficult for JJ McCarthy to adjust his mechanics during the season. He may make some strides, but he is focusing on so many other things with reading defenses, changing plays at the line, and going through progressions. Not impossible, but the game is fast.

Just finished binging this. I typically don’t do a lot of film breakdowns because my tiny brain can’t handle the information. However, JT is so good at explaining the highs and lows. Summary: McCarthy is not nearly as bad as the numbers and pitchforks make him out to be.
