Easily the worst game the Yankees have played this year. Not hitting or pitching well just happens but this game has been riddled with some of the worst mistakes I’ve seen all year from them.

Could the S&P 500 go down 20%? Anything is possible, but looking at the other 11 bear markets since the S&P 500 became 500 stocks shows that they usually start with a quick drop from ATHs. In fact, down 5% in only 14.5 days on avg those times. The recent 5% mild pullback took a very long 35 trading days, which would by far be the most ever should this turn into a bear market. Shoutout to the OG @StovallCFRA for pointing this out today.

Over the last 75 years, the average intra-year market drop has been 14%. If you are overly stressed out about the current 7% drawdown, the stock market isn’t for you. Downside volatility is the price investors pay for long-term outperformance.

@CBB_Central KPI is a joke of a metric. It’s got good teams way too low.

One bracket oddity: KPI (the third résumé-based metric other than SOR and WAB) is crushing SEC bubble teams. Mizzou: 39 SOR, 41 WAB… 52 KPI Texas: 45 SOR, 46 WAB… 66 KPI Oklahoma: 44 SOR, 47 WAB… 65 KPI Even Texas A&M, which should be in, has a 10+ spot gap KPI to SOR/WAB.

Indiana NCAA Tournament outlook update: NET up to No. 37 WAB up to No. 48 These put #iubb in the conversation, but its WAB isn't quite at a level where the Hoosiers would make the tournament. Also, because IU beat Minnesota so badly, the Gophers have fallen out of the top 75 of the NET, making last night's win a Q3 and the December loss a Q2. Marquette, however, has moved back into the top 100, making IU's win in November a Q2. The Hoosiers now have a 5-12 record against the first two quadrants, with just a Q1 game against Ohio State remaining. Still a chance to make the tournament, but certainly a few holes in IU's resume.
