Nobody’s denying history, Lammy. But “some whites did genocide” doesn’t rebut a modern U.S. crime statistic. That’s not analysis, that’s a category dodge. If we’re discussing slavery, genocide, colonialism, Jim Crow, or mass murder, bring the receipt, and we can account for it. But I said what I said bc 1976 onwards is when the FBI started tracking data, anything prior to that is a guess. The uncomfortable truth is simple: historical white atrocities do not magically erase modern victim/offender data. Both can be true. Adults call that nuance.

@Chudthebldrclip @ChudTheBuilder While we're looking stuff up: Since 1976, approximately 43,000 white Americans have been killed by Black offenders, while approximately 18,000 Black Americans have been killed by White offenders, based on FBI/BJS homicide tracking and reasonable extension through recent years.

From 1619 to 1975, there is no national U.S. database that reliably tracks homicide by both victim race and offender race. The FBI’s modern detailed victim/offender race tracking is mainly usable from 1976 forward. I'm alive today as you are! I'm focused on shit right now, not 300 years ago! Grow up!

@Beaz63 @Chudthebldrclip @ChudTheBuilder While we're doing that, go deeper and research how many of the whites who did the killings were actually white and not just listed as such on reports. Don't believe me? Look at pretty much any city's booking photos and see how they are listed vs pics.

bjs.ojp.gov/content/pub/pd… I didn't conveniently start there for any reason other than 1976–2005 is the cleanest published Bureau of Justice Statistics aggregate window for homicide victim/offender race comparisons. If you'd like to provide some additional data, I'd love to read that as well.

This is the nightmare too many women live in silence. The system needs to treat domestic violence like the deadly epidemic it is before it ends in m*rder.
