Congratulations from the UK Bebras Challenge Team to all 408,481 UK students (and their teachers) who took part in the 2023 challenge earlier this month - there are some fantastic results!! (More details at htps://bebras.uk)

@GarethMartin9 There was a 5 to 6min outage this morning caused by a failing router outside are infrastructure in the Netherlands. The quickest way to find out if there are any issues (is to check the Status tab at bebras.uk).

UK Bebras closed last night. Over 360,000 students participated in the last two weeks. 6.4million questions to mark! Provisional results should be available on Monday.

With one day to go the third of a millionth student has just finished participating. (No idea which student) Well done UK schools!

@skrish2017 @CompSciScot Students take part once. The fortnight is to give schools the opportunity to let as many students take part as they want to.

@bebrasuk Is there any contingency plans if students are absent due to covid ?

The first round of the 2022 Oxford University Computing Challenge takes place next week (w/b 7th Feb). It will be hosted on bebras.uk site this year but tutorials for students are still to be found at oucc.uk

And done - for 2021. Just over 305,000 students took part in UK Bebras this year. That’s are highest number ever. Well done everyone.

Wow, twitter is very active with how everyone is getting on in this year’s UK Bebras! It is fantastic to hear about how it is going and see students taking part. Please can we remember not to show images of this year’s tasks unless they are very blurry.

@bebrasuk I have had a few classes working on the challenge today and in every class some users keep getting logged out and have to log back in again, wasting some of their time. Has anyone else reported this?
