@YukiMak72234508 @that_gg2078 I'm In Love With The Villainess is an example of it mattering because the whole plot centers around the main character having a ton of knowledge about the world and characters of the game she got Isekai'd into her which lets her sequence break and change the story

@that_gg2078 Is there any Isekai where the point of them being reborn in a different world actually matters to the story? Like for me every Isekai story has no reason to just start in the fantasy world already (yes by that point it wouldn't be a Isekai)

New isekai anime are so funny because they'll always start with a bizarre premise but then add a stipulation that renders the premise completely pointless

@YukiMak72234508 @that_gg2078 Cautious Hero. Especially later in the novels after where the anime ends. It's not necessarily Seiya being from Earth that matters, but the fact that he gets isekai'd plays an important role in the narrative and his character when they keep traveling.

@sburbanon actually if you tier-2 prototyped it with a dream self and then god-tiered maybe you could survive exploding if it ends up being not heroic or just. could be interesting, but maybe it just resets the timer which could also screw you over wherever you go next. idk
