Winter has arrived at Lansdown Cemetery and the grounds are looking beautiful; combined with the stunning views across the countryside it makes for a scenic winter walk.

As a special thank you for your support, on 8th December 2024 Lottery Players can come to the Tower for free - simply show your lottery ticket at the front desk! (Subject to availability. Last entry 2.30pm.)

We were also able to excavate a buried Grotto and bring it into the visitor experience, and install solar panels and an air source heat pump to give the building a more sustainable future.

We’re joining @HeritageFundUK to say a big #ThanksToYou to #NationalLottery players for helping fund projects like “Our Tower”, in which we reimagined our experience, refreshing the interpretation to better address the source of William Beckford’s wealth: transatlantic slavery.

The restoration of Beckford's Tower by @BathPresTrust is a prime example of combining heritage architecture & green innovation. It also confronts Beckford's complex legacy and his role in the transatlantic slave trade. It's well worth a visit to learn more about Bath's history.

This week, Bath @stjohnambulance volunteers took a break from regular first aid training & visited @BeckfordsTower Thank you to the wonderful staff for allowing us to learn about William Beckford, find out more about the tower architecture & enjoy the fabulous views!
