Some of my reaction to yesterday’s bad news budget from Scott Moe on CBC. You will pay more. Healthcare will get even worse — hard to imagine. Moe is spending three times as much to service the interest on his debt as he is on police. Clearly, it’s time for change.

The price of gas in Saskatchewan has shot up nearly 40 cents per litre in a single month due to the conflict in the Middle East. People are writing to us and reporting it's costing them $100 or more to fill up at the pumps. Scott Moe is pulling in more revenue as a result of sky-high oil prices. Still, he presses ahead with a 15-cents-per-litre tax on gas. Isn't it time this Premier cut you a break?

Gas prices are $1.60 per litre in Regina and nearly $1.63 in Saskatoon this morning. People can’t afford this. Scott Moe is taking in significant additional revenue from surging oil prices coming as a direct result of the conflict in the Middle East. Today, I am calling on him to use that revenue to cut desperate Saskatchewan drivers a break by lowering — or completely eliminating — the gas tax until things return to normal. It’s time to save people money. Saskatchewan people report greater financial anxiety than anywhere else in Canada. It’s time for change.
