@EnvPolicyCenter I think it has gotten worse as a guest lecture via zoom or in person! Switching sides to lecture for a semester was enlightening. I would go around the room and they knew it was coming and everyone was expected to ask a question or comment on something they appreciated.

Okay fellow professors: My students are not asking questions of guest speakers on zoom! Are others seeing this in your classes...more of the "great disengagement"...or just my speakers/topics?
