@caskexplorer Wonderful memories of this pub as a young Northern Echo reporter in Stockton. Thirsty lads poured in at 5pm or earlier. The rather large bar man was a master class in how to serve a busy pub. Pints lined up ready to be topped and go.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street had to be rebuilt after being damaged in the Great Fire of London in 1666. 🍺 A pub has existed on the site since the 1530s but was quickly rebuilt the year after the fire in 1667. Have you ever been to this iconic pub?

This was a clear case of corporate vandalism which was planned like a military operation for greed. It was a truly splendid pub. The directors of Greenalls Brewery should have been jailed.
