@Beernoulli @_b3are_ For real? I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I used IE, even though it was the "preferred" browser here in the office.
English

@txgowan @LongHallOwl @beer_chris @CityAcreBrewing Yep, very sad to hear that one.
To add closings, 6 Wards in Dickinson closed but is reopening as Strong Arm with the same brewer/owner and new owners.
English

@Beernoulli @LongHallOwl @beer_chris Bearded Fox got a new investor. Didn't I see that @CityAcreBrewing is closing?
English

@LongHallOwl @beer_chris I’m not sure who bought it. John’s post back in Feb about the sale and their move to Tennessee to start farming left the new owners pretty vague. I’m honestly shocked that I haven’t seen an official announcement beyond that.
English

@jzimmermann11 That’s something within my skill set to do, and I’d hire someone in a heartbeat.
English

@Blind_Butcher @nhallfreelance You’re not alone. My thought was, “who took a helicopter ride around an island?”
English

@ABWGraham Changing tables in the mens room. Barstools and chairs with backs. A menu that’s legible if handwritten.
Dang. When did I get old?
English

@TexanRudeboy You’re going to be waiting a while, because that’s exactly what it is
English

@astrosguy That happened to me in 3rd grade (3rd-6th kid pitch league) and I couldn’t stay in the box afterwards
English

@astrosguy I’m sad you didn’t do it the years we did 😕 maybe in a few years we’ll be back

I am so pumped about the Saint Arnold Art Car 5K this weekend! #HoustonBeer #beerrunning

@geoffdrinksbeer I went from a 92 F150, which was basically a tank, to an 03, to an 08. Progressively bigger with smaller engine blocks. The 08 had a V8 and still I could have climbed inside and closed the hood
English

@Beernoulli Lol you’re probably right. I learned recently that the 150 and 250 have the same cabin.
English

@AliceHicksRoach We could have spent a week exploring around the Grand Place, but we really only had a day. We did a chocolate tour that was really cool, basically a walking tour of the city with chocolate that was a generic Groupon type thing. And of course Cantillon was cool.
English

@Beernoulli Thank you! I forgotten you’d been there. Since I’m still living a gluten-free life my son will be drinking the beer and eating the waffles for me. But…I’m gonna have a few sips and bites. 😉
English

@PJOmotorcity @colleenpburgh We leave for Belgium on the 24th! Send me your recommendations for Brussels if you get a chance. Would love to hear your favorite places!
English

@nhallfreelance @DesertFoxATX @cltomlinson I heard a few years ago about a proposal to use salt domes as a compressed air storage system, not unlike hydro storage systems. Is that something that became reality?
English

@DesertFoxATX @cltomlinson Disclosure: I manage a bulk electric system control center in charge of a host of generation and transmission resources. While I don’t operate any battery storage facilities, I *do* operate some associated transmission facilities.
English

Geography will determine where certain storage tech goes, but there are plenty of options.
Rummy@DesertFoxATX
@cltomlinson @HoustonChron Interesting article had never heard of the color scale. Was recently reading about large electrical storage options and how the VAST majority of our energy storage now is pumped hydro power.
English

@geoffdrinksbeer I think I was an extreme case, but maybe I’m mistaken.
English

@geoffdrinksbeer I haven’t seen that argument beyond satire. I used to drove an 8mpg truck for 10 years. With the exception of when I worked as a part time janitor in 2007 and filling up both tanks was over $100, gas was always been a small part of my expenses.
