I walk out of a lot of restaurants. I order a drink and after 5-10 minutes if the vibe is off or the service is bad I pay for the drink plus a 20% tip and leave. I don’t post a negative review. I don’t rush to social media for validation or to complain. I just don’t return to that restaurant. No drama. I also treat other situations in life like that as well.

The Arcane Texas Fact of the Day: It was 54 years ago today, on March 9, 1972, that citizens of Lubbock voted to allow the sale of beer and liquor by the drink at establishments within the city limits, putting an end to its claim as the largest dry city in the United States. However, with bottled alcoholic beverages not available within the city limits, "The Strip" developed at the edge of town in the years following. One reader told me that she loved going to The Strip with her dad when she was a young girl because it was like a "mini Las Vegas, with all the lights they had. It was kind of exciting for a youngster in Lubbock." Looking at this photo, which is courtesy the @LAJ_Photo , I can see that. Any of y'all have any memories?

As mentioned on air the other day at @KWCH12, this is my FAVORITE Super Bowl commercial of all time. I remember when it aired, and I froze. God made a farmer. The Lawless family is made of a bunch of farmers. I may not know much about it, but I'm proud to be a part of a community that provides. Cheers to farmers. And cheers to my dad as we'd ride to grandma's farm in Belle Plaine when I was little. We often listened to Paul Harvey.
