I submitted my #PhD #thesis today🙌😅😊 ➡️9 years after applying for a #HEE #clinicalacademic internship ➡️8 years after my first @NIHRcommunity #CRDF application ➡️6 years after starting my doctorate ➡️1 year delay due to global pandemic Delighted just doesn't cover it😃

Leaders experience emotional distress when they can’t help with staffing and work overload. So focus also on giving staff voice, justice and fairness, better conditions, self rostering, improving teamwork, better supervision meetings and education and training. That helps.

When asked to review care plans, I regularly change “challenging behaviour” to “behaviour that presents as challenging to staff” “Challenging behaviour” is often a persons way of expressing themselves. It’s not challenging to them, but to those caring for them. Thoughts below?⬇️
