I failed my first organic test in college. I thought about switching majors b/c I thought I wasn’t good enough. I graduated with my MS in Chem and MAT and worked for 10 years in R&D. Now I teach AP Chem. STEM is hard for everyone—grades don’t mean you’re not good enough to do it.

Every year AP Chem gets to make a rainbow! Not by adding food coloring but by stressing a chemical equilibrium system through heat/cold, more reactant/product to test LeChatelier’s principle. I love this lab because the students get so excited! Plus it’s pretty 🌈 @WSDLibertyHS
